June Produce

I am still picking peas every three days...and get about this many each time. When ya consider that pea bed is not all that big that is a lot of peas! I will sheel and snap these in a bit and put them in the fridge until I get the next picking and then I should have enough to pressure can about 12 half pints.




This is the last of the new potatoes. They were planted to late to do much good but I was hoping for the best. I prefer the red spud for new potatoes but these are from a couple of potatoes that had laid in the fridge and started growing...so I gave them a place to grow. They taste okay but are not near as good as those spring raised reds.

Only gathered enough okra to put with what I already had for my lunch. Sunday I should have enough to pickle another few jars if I don't have enough peas to fill the pressure canner.



Okay. Now I got the morning chores done I'll go read the news...and probably get pissed and wish that I had not of done so. Y'all come, heah?
