Wilfred Ndidi has decide to extend his stay at the King Power Stadium for until 2024.
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has renewed his contract with Premier League side Leicester City for six year until 2024.
The 21-year-old midfielder signed for the Foxes under former manager Claudio Ranieri and has become a mainstay in the midfield for the Foxes.
Following his impressive outing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia with the Super Eagles there were several reports that top sides across Europe were hoping to lure Ndidi away from Leicester City.
He has finally cleared all doubts about a possible transfer in the winter window by signing a long term deal with the Foxes.
A statement on Leicester City's website confirmed that Ndidi has signed a new deal until 2024.
The statement by Ndidi on the Leicester City website said, "I’m very happy to sign this contract with Leicester City. I have enjoyed every moment of my time with the Football Club, so I’m thrilled to be here for six more years.
"Together with my team-mates and our wonderful supporters, I hope we can look forward to many more fantastic moments.”
He also stated his delight about signing a new deal with a message on his official Instagram account which said, "Happy to extend my contract with @lcfc special thanks to my team mates, coaches and the fans for their constant support ."
Ndidi will return to action with the Foxes in the Premier League when Leicester City travel to Southampton on Saturday, August 25.
