A little local color

An enormous cottonwood tree just around the corner from our Ruralville house. I'm not fond of the cottonwood tree as a good tree for this area, because it's too fast-growing and short-lived, but the whiteness of the bark makes for a lovely photograph.A crawdad's humble abode. I didn't see Mr. CrawDad himself, although it briefly rained this morning, so he was probably rather pleased by that.
